Disney och deras priser

Funderar på hur långt man kan driva Disney. Skulle vara så kul att få någon hos dem att få ut alla sina aggressioner i ett fint litet mail till mig. När man vandrar runt i deras parker erbjuder de tjänsten, eller snarare prackar på dig, Disney Photopass. De tar lite foton vid kända figurer och andra händelser och lägger det på ett kort, som du sedan väl hemma i lugn och ro kan titta på. Jag registrerade mig och fann att kortet innehöll inte mindre än 40 foton att beställa. Problemet är bara att priset är 14.95 dollar, per foto. Det finns alltså människor som betalar så mycket för en jpg på 300dpi och 6,1 megapixel? Och varför downsize:a skiten? De fotade med D90 allesammans, och den vilar på högre upplösning än så. En mailkonversation startade.

Home from my trip i logged in to download some photos, and I almost fell 

out of my chair. I thought that the photos would be expensive, around 5 

dollars a piece, and then I see that they cost 14.95 + tax. That price 

is not high, it's outrageous! First I thought that the price was for the 

whole batch, but no... I'm a photographer myself and I really wonder why 

I should pay that kind of money for a low resolution jpg (yes, you call 

it high resolution, but it's low). About 800 dollars spent on two days, 

and it was worth every penny even if it's a lot of money, and now I 

can't get the photos to a decent price. 

Anyhow, thank you for two wonderful days!

Thank you for your recent visit to DisneyPhotoPass.com.   

When ordering online, the Disney's PhotoCD is $169.95 and includes all 

valid photos from your Disney's PhotoPass card(s), including photos with 

added Disney borders and graphics.  Edited photos default to a 4x6 

aspect ratio unless saved otherwise.  Images on the Disney's PhotoCD 

will be in .jpg format and are high resolution (1.5 MB/300 DPI/6.1 

megapixel) so you can obtain high-quality prints, up to 8" x 10" in 

size, without losing quality. A Limited License will also be included 

with your Disney's PhotoCD.  This Limited License will allow you to take 

the PhotoCD to the developer of your choice to have the photos printed. 

To order your PhotoCD, click on the "Photo Products" tab.  A drop down 

menu will appear, and you can then simply select the PhotoCD.  Please 

make sure you have completed and saved all your desired edits before 

placing the PhotoCD in your cart, or the edits will not appear on your 

PhotoCD.  You will have to select a delivery method.  You can have your 

PhotoCD mailed on compact disc (s) or you can download your all of your 

PhotoPass photos. Then select "Add to Cart".  At this point, you may 

proceed with checking out, or you may continue shopping.   

Please note that personally uploaded photos, Disney gallery photos, 

expired photos, and/or unclaimed photos will not be included on your 

PhotoCD.  Photo processing is not included with purchase price.

Hello, again.

So for the price of about seven Disney Blu-Ray's I can have 40 amateur

shot pictures from you, burnt and delivered on an optical media. And if

I chose to download them I have to pay 600 dollars for them all.

It's the year 2012. 300 DPI/6.1 MP… I shoot pictures with higher resolution

with my daughters phone. And who buys a Photo CD? With my internet

connection today I download your 1,5MB pictures with the speed of four

pictures per second, so why should you burn it on an optical media, design

it, pack it,post it, and let the package travel all the way from the US to Sweden?

That is not a way to save our environment.

I am very, very disappointed with your way of handling this.

As stated in our PhotoCD product, you may chose to have your images as a download to your computer. The price for all of your photos as a PhotoDownload would be $169.95. If you would like, you may check out our "Special Offers" tab for any current promotions we are offering.

Okej, jag missade möjligheten att ladda ner hela paketet för 169,95 dollar, men det spelar ju ingen större roll. De erbjuder ändå 40 foton strax över tusenlappen, och dessutom kan du få det på en foto-CD. En foto-CD? Det var en helt underbar lösning när jag fotade analogt och jag fick bilderna på både papper och som fil, men nu, år 2012? Men, de är väl rädda om sina rättigheter. Om jag i USA inte kan få en tårta tillverkad med Musse Piggs bild på utan att bagaren betalar rättigheter för det, varför skulle jag då komma billigt undan med en bild där min dotter och Toker är med tillsammans.
